Another Philly First: Guava & Java and The Neat Company Named Philadelphia Marketplace Merchants of the Fourth Quarter

PHILADELPHIA—July 20, 2010—The Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) announced another historic "first"—two merchants received the title of Merchant of the Quarter. Guava & Java and The Neat Company share the honor for Q4 2009-2010. Both merchants are previous winners of the title in 2009-2010—Guava & Java in Q1 and The Neat Company in Q2 and Q3. 

The Philadelphia Marketplace’s EDGE! Program (Excellence Drives Great Experiences) was designed to motivate and reward merchants. Each merchant can earn EDGE! points for exceeding expectations through great customer service and participation in marketing programs. At the end of each quarter, the merchant with the most points is named “Merchant of the Quarter.”

Guava & Java offers gourmet coffee, smoothies, fresh sandwiches and paninis. The company now serves PHL passengers at three locations: Concourse A-East, Concourse E and the recently opened Concourse B location.

Located in Concourses B and C, The Neat Company sells innovative software with customized scanners that helps businesses and consumers organize, store and secure paper receipts, business cards and important documents. The Philadelphia-based company started in PHL’s specialty retail program in 2002 and has since grown to a national operation.
