Celebrate fall at Philadelphia International Airport with live jazz ensembles

Travelers passing through Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz this fall. MarketPlace PHL, the restaurant and retail concessions management company at PHL, launched it fall Jazz Series on Friday, Oct. 6 and will continue the series by hosting new musicians every Friday October from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Come enjoy the jazz themes as musicians perform live on the B/C Connector stage. By providing easy access for travelers to move throughout the airport without the need to pass through additional security gates, passengers can swing by the stage and enjoy the music.

Upcoming performances include:

  • Oct. 13: Paula Johns Trio
  • Oct. 20: Cintron Latin Jazz
  • Oct. 27: Eric Wortham

“Passengers are encouraged to stop by before their flight; start the weekend with live music, good food and shopping before their trip,” said Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL. “With more than 82,000 busy travelers passing through the airport every day, it’s important to create unique opportunities for our passengers to take a moment and enjoy the experience.”
