Philadelphia International Airport Crowns 2009-2010 Merchant of the Year

PHILADELPHIA—September 13, 2010—The Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) congratulates The Neat Company as the 2009-2010 “Merchant of the Year” award recipient. The announcement came during the EDGE! Merchant Program celebration, held at the Airport Marriott hotel.

Matthew Giordano, Manager of The Neat Company, won two airline tickets to anywhere in the United States, the EDGE! trophy and the coveted title of “Merchant of the Year.” Each of his staff will be rewarded with a choice of prizes.

Guava & Java, the Merchant of the Quarter winner in the first and fourth quarter, was also recognized at the event. The Neat Company received the Merchant of the Quarter award in the second and third quarter.

The Philadelphia Marketplace’s EDGE! Program (Excellence Drives Great Experiences) was designed to motivate and reward merchants for providing great customer service to passengers at PHL. Each merchant can earn EDGE! points for exceeding expectations through great customer service, marketing and training. At the end of each quarter, the merchant with the most points is named Merchant of the Quarter, and the merchant with the most points overall is named Merchant of the Year.

“The Neat Company has demonstrated a continued commitment to excellence in customer service,” said Anna DiGregorio, Director of Marketing for the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “We’re proud of Matthew and his team—and congratulations to all of the merchants who participated in this year’s outstanding program!”
