Philadelphia International Airport & the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops

Offer Unique Holiday Fun for Travelers

This December, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops will give passengers plenty of ways to celebrate the season, with everything from carolers and photos with Santa to free gift wrap and a visit from Philadelphia’s own Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross.

Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops’ annual holiday gift wrap will run from December 1 through 24 and benefits the Liberty USO. Liberty USO volunteers will wrap gifts purchased from any airport retailer for free. The gift wrap station will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily across from the Food Court located between concourses B and C.

Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops will make a $5,000 donation to the Liberty USO. Travelers may also contribute to the Liberty USO by making donations at the USO office, Concourse A East, or visiting them online at

Santa will delight children both young and old as he visits the airport on the following dates:

  • Santa will stroll throughout PHL’s seven concourses and pose for photos December 1-24 from 4-8 p.m. and December 10-24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Santa will stroll through baggage claim and pose for photos December 18-24 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Free holiday-themed entertainment will be available each day on the B/C connector stage by the food court, and roaming Victorian carolers will sing throughout PHL:

  • December 13 from 1-3 p.m.
  • December 14 from 4-6 p.m.
  • December 20 and 21 from 3-5p.m.
  • Dec 22 and 23 from 4-6 p.m.

Ben Franklin and his new bride, Betsy Ross, will make a special appearance on December 23. The beloved Philadelphia duo will spread holiday cheer (and candy canes) to PHL passengers from 1-4 p.m. in the B/C Connector and the new D/E Connector.

“During the hectic holiday travel season, it’s great to offer our passengers events to put them in a festive mood,” said Anna DiGregorio, Director of Marketing of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “We’re also proud to once again support the Liberty USO through our annual gift wrap.”
