XpresSpa Relaxes Passengers with New Location at Philadelphia International Airport
Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) don’t have to wait until they’ve reached their destination to indulge in a little pampering and relaxation. XpresSpa, a chain of full-service airport spas, recently opened a new location in PHL’s International Terminal, Terminal A West.
XpresSpa is modeled after luxurious, high-end spas with plush leather massage chairs and refined décor. Treatments are geared toward passengers on the go and include tension massages for neck, arms, back, and feet. The spa, which is open seven days a week, also sells aromatherapy products, candles, massagers and other personal care items. For more extensive services including manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing and reflexology, travelers are reminded to visit the existing XpresSpa location in Concourse C.
“A spa is definitely not something you’d expect to see at an airport,” said Anna DiGregorio, Director of Marketing for the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “Passengers love the convenience of being able to get a massage or a manicure while waiting for their flight.”
XpresSpa is the only “premium class” large scale, nationally structured spa exclusively operating at airports. There are currently 27 XpresSpa locations both in the United States and abroad, with five additional spas opening in March/April 2009. For more information, visit www.xpresspa.com.
