Yards Brewing Company Ribbon Cutting

PHL’s first local Philly brewery joins the Philadelphia Marketplace family

PHILADELPHIA April 3, 2019 — Yards Brewing Company, a hometown favorite started by two long-time friends, Tom Kehoe and Jon Bovit, is now serving up its specialty ales in Concourse A East of the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Philadelphia Marketplace and Yards celebrated the opening of the new airport location with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 22.

Tom and Jon started brewing beer for friends in the late 80’s. In 1994, Yards Brewing Company was born with the first location established in the city’s northwest neighborhood of Manayunk. Yards Brewing Company has grown and evolved over the years under the direction of Kehoe. Additional locations include Roxborough, Kensington, Northern Liberties and now Philadelphia International Airport.

Yards Brewing Company at PHL is operated by Erin Zwiercan and Kenneth Adams. The new beer hub specializes in ales, particularly those in the English tradition, and serves grab-n-go sandwiches, wraps and hot dogs, and a selection of other beverages.
